Sand is this block in Minecraft that is found in beaches, underwater, and hot, hot DEHYDRATING desert biomes like, where else would it be? it can be mined with anything, but if you are in the hard to survive adventure mode, you need to mine it with a golden/Budder shovel. Sand is one of the two blocks that fall when you place it next to another block. The second non gravity defying block is gravel. What sand is useful for is that it can be used to make sandstone or be used in a furnace with some dirt or coal. And then sandstone, it can be naturally found and it strike a resemblance to end stone!
